Enjoy the botanical gardens Cypress Gardens was Florida’s first theme park that opened 72 years ago and is still as popular as ever. It has a number of attractions as well as shows. Enjoy fabulous rides at Cypress Gardens Theme park.
At the Topiary Trail, view the very vibrant topiaries of a variety of animals such as rabbits, peacocks, swan and many more. Also see the beautiful waterfall that cascades down among the superb floral blossoms. The Cypress Gardens are spread over 30 acres and there is even a banyan Tree that is as old as the gardens itself.
At the Plantation Gardens, view the aromatic herb garden, a beautiful rose garden and ‘Wings of Wonder’ that are The Garden’s Butterfly conservatory.
Shows and concerts Watch the world famous ‘Water Ski Show’ that happens every Saturday and Sunday at designated times. You can see daring displays of water ski jumps, lifts and tandem water skiing. This show that has been performed every year since 1941 when quite by accident, this show was started for some soldiers. Since then the tradition has continued here.
There are a number of concerts that happen in this Winter Haven Theme Park. Many musicians belonging to all genres of music have performed over the years. The schedule for the events for 2009 will be soon announced. Along with the botanical gardens at Cypress Gardens, those that seek pure water adventure can also have fun at the Splash Island Water Park.
Splash Island water Park Ride the Polynesian Adventure that is actually a 4-story high water play structure where there are almost hundred interactive features such as rope climbing slippery rides and water cannons.
At Tonga Tubes, there are twin water slides that thrust you down really fast in pool. While VooDoo Plunge features speed slides after the visitors have climbed atop the 60-foot high platform. At the Paradise River, you can gently sail down the river at your own pace without a care in the world on the tubes that are provided to the visitors.
