Discovery Cove is a unique experience. It’s one of the most popular Orlando theme parks. There are a  number of water-based experiences with animals that you can have at Discovery Cove Theme Park.

Animal and Bird experiences at the Discovery Cove

The Dolphin Swim Experience will let you enjoy a one to one interaction with the dolphins. The highlight of the experience is a 30-minute interactive session with the dolphin. First 6-8 visitors are allowed with the trainer to get acquainted with the dolphin. When they are suitably acquainted, the dolphin will allow the guest to go for a dorsal fin tow ride in deeper waters.

The Explorer’s Aviary is where you can see hundreds of birds flying around you. They will also come and nibble fruit from your hand. See a number of exotic species and enjoy the sights and sounds of the birds. This is fun activity for the whole family.

Serenity Bay is a beautiful pool when you can swim and enjoy the water. The Tropical Reef  shows the coral reefs in all its splendour. Stay underwater at the Tropical Reef for as long as you wish. You can also enter the Stingray Gallows and look at the other beautiful sea creatures.

Wind Away River is a tropical river and you get to see dense jungles, underwater cave and other terrains as you cruise along the river.

General Discovery Cove Theme Park information

There is a number of Discovery Cove Theme Park tickets and packages available. The usual Discovery Cove theme park timing is from 9am to 5:30pm.  Visitors should bring their own swimsuits, dry clothes, socks and shoes. This is a full day adventure park, there are also a number of accommodation options that will suit the budget of all visitors. You can take your pick from moderate, deluxe to luxury accommodations.

At this theme park, you can also opt for an all inclusive day package with or without the Dolphin Swim experience. But all other attractions are included in both the packages. Along with these you can also enjoy some great foods such as grilled salmon and Cajun Jambalaya.
