She was quick to add, in a seemingly sing-song voice, that their nightly shows recreates the brand of family fun she grew up with where their neighborhood gathers for games, a lot of swinging and singing, kids running about, and cap the night with partaking over a hearty meal, with smiles on everybody’s faces.
Holders of Dixie Stampede tickets are in for a sprightly, acrobatic Roman Riding style horse show - involving Quarter horses to Belgian draft horses - matched with dazzling lights and all American country music personally chosen by Dolly Parton and her friends.
Show times are varied any time from 6:30 to 8:30. As soon as the thunder of hoof beats and the stomping of feet begins, the show comes to a romping start. The rousing opening act is entitled "Stampede of the Buffalos." After the show when every smiling face concentrates on his or her dinner, everybody settles for a friendly repartee of sorts.
