As told time and again, Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, one of the two popular water parks in Walt Disney World Resort, was created in the wake of the fiercest of storms when there was a meteorological disturbance that beat the hell out of Orlando.
So mighty a storm that caused the boats to be tossed through thatched roofs of beaten beach houses, surfboards to hurl into bending palm trees, and everything in sight standing uprooted and thrown out onto the mountains.In the midst of it all, “Miss Tilly” which is not much but a lovely but hapless shrimp boat, found itself swept up by the looping tides of the ferocious typhoon and was propelled onto the peak of Mount Mayday, a volcanic mountain. Meanwhile, your Typhoon Lagoon tickets may not tell you this: wear water shoes or flip-flops as you are likely to climb stairs to access certain attractions.
