The Disneyland Monorail is an attraction that is part of the Tomorrowland themed world that can be accessed after purchasing Disneyland theme park tickets.
This ride no longer requires its own Disneyland Monorail tickets in order for passengers to use it, but instead anybody with valid Disneyland park tickets can ride for no extra costs.
These monorails were first built and set up in the theme park back in 1959 and were meant to be a future form of transportation, something that unfortunately didn’t take place to the extent Walt Disney had visions of.
The monorail covers a distance of 2.5 miles and it takes a little more than ten minutes to travel this distance at a speed of 35 mph. With the Tomorrowland attraction tickets you can ride in one of three monorails which can be identified by their colors of red, blue or orange.
Those with Disneyland park tickets will appreciate the Monorail, because it travels through the park and hotel located within.
