Disney’s Animal Kingdom is one of the four theme parks at the Disney World Resort. It has a number of rides and attractions and houses mores than 1700 animals from among 250 species. As Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park is spread over 500 acres of lush landscaped terrains, it’s the world’s biggest animal themed park.

This is one of the bigger Florida theme parks and is divided into 7 sections that are which are known as Oasis, Discovery Island Area, Camp Minnie – Mickey, Africa, Rafiki’s Planet Watch Area, Asia and Dinoland USA Area

In many of these areas, you can get close to many animals and even pet some of the animals. There is wild as well as live entertainment for all visitors.

There are a number of Kids Discovery Clubs across Disney’s Animal Kingdom, where kids can experience nature first hand by going on a scavenger hunt and recreating a dinosaur model from its bones. Go to the Kilimanjaro Safaris, where you can ride in an open sided Safari vehicle, you can observe the animals in their natural habitat of the Savannah terrain (well almost) at really close quarters.

Wildlife express Train is an old fashioned and rustic train that chugs between the areas of Africa, Harambe and Rafiki’s Planet Watch Area. At The Oasis Exhibits, there are lush tropical gardens where you can you a number of exotic birds and deer’s and wallabies. The paths from here lead to Safari Village. Another great area to visit is Maharaja Jungle Trek; here you will find many animals such as tigers, wild bats and komodo dragons.

When you purchase Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park tickets, other attractions that you can visit include Expedition Everest, Discovery Island Trails, Kali River Rapids, Pangani Forest Exploration trails and many more. There are number of dining and shopping experiences to make your visit to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park a memorable one.

Visitors can also be a part of the tours and special experiences, however some of the tours such as Backstage safari are paid tours and aren’t included in the normal admission ticket.
