Six Flags America

Mitchellville, United States

Six Flags America is one of the top Maryland theme parks that also have extended park hours during this summer. Visit the thrill rides kids rides and the family rides or get wet at the water park. The timing for the rides and the water park may vary depending on the local weather conditions.

The thrill rides are for older children, teens and adults and all of them have minimum height requirements. The coasters here are the best in the country and some of the most popular rides are Batwing that has 3340 feet of running rails and goes at 50 mph, another popular ride is “Skycoaster” where you will plunge down 10 stories and then rise up again. At the Tower of Doom, dive down and fall from the Tower of Doom.

Hold on tight when you ride the raft at “The Penguin’s Blizzard River”. Ride the bumper cars at “Coyote Creek Crazy Cars” where you can jump in and meet your friends. Try the Paradise Plunge / Reef Plunger where you navigate through open and closed water chutes before ending up in a 65,000 gallon pool. It’s advisable for the visitors to bring along their swimsuits for many of the rides especially for the water park rides. There are a number of family rides that also have a minimum height requirement.

Far gentler options are available for the tiny tots when you purchase the Six Flags America Theme Park tickets. The “Buccaneer Beach” is when little tots can splash around in the pool with the adults and have lots of fun. Visitors over 54” should be escorted by children. The “Bamboo Chutes” introduce the little one to the more daring water slides in the park.

Water Park has a number of rides at Six Flags America, the most popular ones are Bahama Blast that will takes you through 517 feet of water chutes. While “Skate the Wake” is a waterslide that looks like a skateboarding halfpipe.

There are a number of ticketing options for all visitors, as well as dining options across the park from casual dining to fine dining.
